The Homeplace · Odenville, Alabama

Let's bring the family home.

It's been since 2020. We're planning the next Tucker reunion at the old homeplace near Odenville — and we want you there.

Here's how it works: RSVP below — tell us you're coming, and help us lock the date. We're aiming for the family's traditional time, a Saturday in October, on the fifty-nine acres where Jim and Fannie Lou raised their eleven children. The more families who say “we're in,” the sooner we set it in stone. No cost, and plans can change — this just gets the ball rolling.

Who's in so far

Every family that says “we're in” gets us closer. When we hit the goal, we lock a date and start planning in earnest.

We won't lock the exact day until enough of the family is in — but we're aiming for a Saturday in October 2027 (sooner if everyone's ready). Drop the tentative date on your calendar so it's on your radar, and we'll update it the moment it's confirmed.

What a Tucker reunion would look like

Nothing fancy — a day on the family's own ground, doing the things families do. Here's the shape of it, so you know what you'd be saying yes to.

On the grounds

A potluck dinner

Tables set up on the homeplace, everybody bringing a dish. The kind of spread the eleven children grew up around — and a good excuse to bring back the recipes.

Everyone together

Family photos

One big picture of everyone who came, plus smaller groupings by branch. Cousins who've never met, finally in the same frame.

For the little ones

Kids' games

Sack races, tag, and room to run on the acreage — so the youngest Tuckers have their own memories of the place.

A walk together

The homeplace & cemetery

A walk of the old homeplace and up to Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery, where Samuel James & Fannie Lou rest — a quiet moment to pay respects where the family began.

Where we come from

Sharing the family's history

Time set aside to share the family's story — the genealogy the family has gathered over the years, the eleven children, and how each of us traces back to this one farm.

All day, all ages

Just being together

Shade, chairs, and the whole afternoon to catch up. The reunion was always really about this part.
